Welcome to our First Lights Religious Education program website. We are very excited that you are considering our program at St. Joseph Church for your Kindergartener, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and/or 4th Grade student(s) as we embark on a new adventure using the program, “Alive in Christ”, published by Our Sunday Visitor. One of the highlights of this program is that each unit is the same theme for all grade levels using different methodologies and activities to capture the students attention as they learn about their Catholic faith and build on the foundation you, their family, has already introduced and live out each day.
Every three weeks as we begin a new unit, I will make time to meet with the parents who are available, while the children are gathered for their lessons. During this time I will provide the highlights of the unit being studied, offer ideas for reinforcement of the lessons in their everyday family activities, supply a monthly fun family-friendly project, and answer any questions and concerns.

The children will meet upstairs in the newly renovated, kid-friendly Children's East Wing from 8:30am to 9:45am beginning on Sunday, September 27th. This time frame will allow the children the opportunity after our gathering to attend and participate in the Children’s 10AM Sunday Mass celebration with their families.

Come, visit and talk to our catechists during our Open House on Sunday, September 20th!

The fee's for this year are $80.00 per child, if your child will be receiving their First Communion it will be an addition $30.00 (total $110.00).
No child will be denied religious education classes due to inability to pay or if you need to set up multiple payments please reach out to Kathy Wandmacher 508-248-7862.
